Jock Lindsey’s Hangar Bar: A Saucy Christmas Day Out at Disney Springs

Ah, darlings, what a truly magical way to spend a Christmas day! Jock Lindsey’s Hangar Bar at Disney Springs was the perfect place for a holiday outing, and I must say, it exceeded every expectation. Imagine being surrounded by sparkling Christmas trees, twinkling lights, and a menu that’s as festive as it gets—what more could the Saucy Queen and her king ask for?

We visited in November 2024, right when the holiday decorations were up at Disney Springs, and let me tell you—the atmosphere was nothing short of magical. It’s like Disney wrapped up all the holiday cheer and sprinkled it around, especially when you spot the beautifully themed Disney trees scattered around the Springs. But the true star of the day? Jock Lindsey’s Hangar Bar, of course.

The Magic of Christmas at Jock Lindsey’s Hangar Bar

Now, if you’ve never been to Jock Lindsey’s Hangar Bar, let me paint a picture for you. This place is all about vintage aviation vibes, inspired by none other than Indiana Jones’ intrepid pilot, Jock Lindsey. It’s a cool, cozy spot with old-school aviation decor, complete with flying memorabilia and a unique charm that makes you feel like you’re stepping into a retro airplane hangar.

But what makes this bar even more special during the holidays? The Christmas cheer is dialed up to an entirely new level! The decorations are beyond festive, and the holiday menu is just as delightful. Think about it, you’re sipping on delicious holiday cocktails while surrounded by vintage aviation ambiance, all topped off with a Christmas menu that hits all the right notes. What could be better?

A Perfect Christmas Day for Two

This outing was a couple’s day out—just the Saucy King and me, while our Saucy Prince was at school (yes, even the Saucy Queen needs a break!). We arrived around midday, just ahead of the rush, and were able to enjoy a leisurely lunch with the most perfect vibe. Our server was helpful and delightful, even though the place was starting to fill up. She made sure we felt like royalty, and that really added to the experience.

Savoring the Holiday Menu at Jock Lindsey’s Hangar Bar

Of course, the food had to be the main event, and boy, it didn’t disappoint. We started with Jock’s Famous Pigs in the Blanket ($13), which are Debreziner sausages wrapped in puff pastry, served with a delicious cranberry mustard sauce. Now, if you’re from the UK like me, you’ll know these are basically a fancier, holiday version of sausage rolls. And let me tell you—they hit the spot. Tender sausage, flaky pastry, and that tangy cranberry mustard sauce—oh, it was like a little taste of home.

Next, we tried something called Here We Come A-Croquetting ($13), which I assumed would be traditional potato croquettes. Wrong! What we got was turkey stuffing with cranberry on a bed of sweet potato. The flavors were absolutely incredible—each bite was like a perfect little bite of holiday magic. Rich and savory stuffing, balanced perfectly with the sweetness of the potatoes and the tartness of the cranberry. It was an unexpected delight and the perfect dish for the season.

Holiday Cocktails to Warm the Soul

Now, I’m not one to turn down a festive cocktail, especially when it’s as fabulous as what they offer at Jock Lindsey’s Hangar Bar. I decided to kick things off with the Lump of Coal ($17.5)—yes, you read that right. It’s a holiday cocktail made with black sugar on the rim and packed with sweet, vodka flavors that really hit the spot. The drink was fabulous, and the black sugar rim was a fun little touch that made it extra special. It was sweet but not too sweet, with just the right kick to make it feel like a true holiday indulgence.

As for the Saucy King, he was feeling a bit adventurous and decided to try a new lager: Kirin Ichiban. It was a nice refreshing choice and he enjoyed it thoroughly. But of course, he wasn’t about to stop there—he then joined me in trying one of Jock Lindsey’s classic cocktails. Picture a bright yellow and bright green drinks that practically glow. Well, the Saucy King’s face when he saw the drink was priceless—his expression was a mix of amusement and surprise, but let’s just say he finished it off happily. It’s always fun to try new things with the king, and this colorful drink didn’t disappoint! 🍹💚💛

The Ultimate Christmas Disney Springs Dining Experience

There’s just something about dining at Disney Springs that’s so magical. Between the lively atmosphere, the festive decorations, and the ever-present Disney music, you just can’t help but feel like you’re in the middle of the most joyful holiday celebration. Watching families, couples, and solo diners all enjoying their time while you sip your drink and snack on holiday treats—it’s a kind of magic that only Disney can provide.

We also spent a little time people-watching—it’s one of my favorite things to do at Disney Springs. From the happy kids running around with excitement to the exhausted parents trying to wrangle their little ones, there’s no shortage of Disney moments to enjoy. And honestly, what’s a Disney holiday experience without the joy and chaos that comes with it? 🎄✨

Saucy Verdict: A Royal 9/10

All in all, my experience at Jock Lindsey’s Hangar Bar was absolutely magical. The holiday cheer, the delicious food, and the incredible drinks made for the perfect day out with my Saucy King. The festive menu and the specialty cocktails definitely made up for the high score – really worth a visit before Christmas.

So, what’s my final verdict? 9/10. I couldn’t give it a full 10 just because there’s always room for improvement, but let me tell you—Jock Lindsey’s Hangar Bar is an absolute must-visit this holiday season. I’ll definitely be back before Christmas to indulge in more of the delicious food and festive spirit they have to offer.

Until next time, darlings! 🎄🍸
