Saucy Meal Queen Review: YH Seafood Clubhouse

If you’ve been hunting for the best Chinese food in Orlando, your search is over. YH Seafood Clubhouse is, without a doubt, the reigning champion, and trust me, we’ve been looking far and wide for it. Our recent royal feast proved that this spot delivers Chinese cuisine fit for the Saucy Queen and her court.

The Royal Party

This time, the Saucy Meal Queen, Saucy King, Saucy Prince, and our lovely UK guest, Kathryn, made the trip. Having indulged in a few cocktails on International Drive before dinner, my photography skills weren’t at their best (blame the Purple Rain cocktails later, they were divine).

Service Fit for Royalty

The staff were absolutely lovely—attentive, friendly, and kept the drinks flowing, which we all know is a must when dining with the King. His Ashi beer ($6) stayed cold and constant, much to his delight. A note for our British followers: if you’re expecting Chinese chicken curry, sadly, they don’t serve it here. We felt the void, but the incredible menu more than made up for it.

Drinks

The Purple Rain cocktails ($11 each) were a royal treat—massive, refreshing, and excellent value for money. Kathryn and I were thrilled with these towering drinks, which paired beautifully with the flavorful dishes.

Appetizers

We started with two appetizers, which were more than enough for the four of us:

  • Salt & Pepper Chicken ($20): Onion, cilantro, roasted garlic, red chili flakes, jalapeño, and shallot. This dish was bold, spicy, and fresh—an absolute winner! Perfectly crispy and packed with flavor, it set the bar high for the rest of the meal.
  • Chicken Creamed Corn Soup ($16): A nostalgic favorite that transported me back to the Chinese restaurants of England. This hearty, comforting bowl was everything I’ve been missing since moving to Orlando. Although we did miss the prawn crackers.

Entrees

We shared a selection of dishes, and here’s the royal rundown:

  • Sweet & Sour Chicken ($22): A King’s favorite, and let me tell you, this one lived up to his high standards. Lightly battered chicken with pineapple, bell peppers, and a tangy sauce—it’s a dish we’ll be ordering again and again.
  • Broccoli Beef ($24): While the beef was tender and flavorful, it was a bit overpowering for my palate. That said, the broccoli was cooked to perfection—tender-crisp, just the way I like it.
  • Chicken Lo Mein ($19): This dish stole the show for the Saucy Prince, who devoured nearly the entire plate of noodles and chicken. Note to self: order two portions next time!
  • Chicken Fried Rice ($17): Perfectly cooked jasmine rice with just the right mix of bean, carrot, and onion. I could’ve happily eaten the entire bowl on my own—it was that good.

One small critique: the menu mentions that entrees come with jasmine rice, but none arrived at our table. A minor oversight in an otherwise flawless dining experience.

Saucy Verdict

10/10—hands down the best Chinese food in Orlando! From the Salt & Pepper Chicken to the Sweet & Sour King-approved masterpiece, every dish delivered in quality, flavor, and portion size. YH Seafood Clubhouse has officially become our go-to Friday night spot, and I’m already planning our next visit.
